NSMP appoints new CEO

Selkie Investments Midstream Topco Limited (“NSMP”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sayma Cox (formerly Sayma Robbie) as CEO effective from September 2022.

Sayma joins NSMP from bp where she served as the Senior Vice President of Non-Operated Joint Venture (NOJV) Excellence. Sayma brings a wealth of knowledge and experience across a broad range of areas within the energy industry, including the UKCS where she managed offshore assets for Maersk Oil and ConocoPhillips, in addition to her extensive global experience. Most recently Sayma has further enhanced her capabilities within the low carbon and renewables areas through new opportunities across bp’s material NOJV portfolio.

Sayma will take over from Andy Heppel, who is stepping down as CEO. Andy has been CEO of NSMP since 2012 and before that CEO of the Teesside Gas Processing Plant since 2007. Andy has led the company through an immense growth journey from a single gas processing plant to multiple critical infrastructure assets in both the UK and Norway and has laid a strong foundation for further evolution of the business to best serve both the energy security and energy transition needs of its customers and communities.

Sayma Cox said:

“This is a pivotal time for the energy industry. I am excited to join a leading midstream infrastructure company with a clear ambition to work with industry partners on innovative solutions, to ensure security of supply whilst embracing the energy transition. I am humbled by the responsibility entrusted to me by the board and look forward to building on the strong foundation which Andy has built, as we contribute to a sustainable and responsible energy future.”

Paul Warwick, Chair of NSMP, commented that :

“Andy has made a tremendous contribution leading NSMP to what it is today. We will miss his leadership and industry knowledge as well as his contribution to the board. We are delighted to welcome Sayma to lead NSMP as it embarks on the next phase of its journey. Our landscape is rapidly evolving which presents multiple exciting opportunities for our business and I look forward to working with Sayma, our wider team at NSMP, my fellow board members and our customers to take our business and industry to new horizons.”

Andy Heppel said:

“I would also very much like to welcome Sayma to NSMP and I wish her every success in her new role - she will bring a wealth of experience to NSMP and is joining a great team at a very exciting time for the company. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved at NSMP and my 15 years leading the company and its predecessor, TGPP Limited, and I will continue to be a great supporter as I move onto my next challenge."
